Andrea was born and raised in Southern California. She grew up in Malibu, attended high school in Pacific Palisades, and now lives in Brentwood.
Andrea earned her B.A. from California State University Long Beach, where she was captain of the Snowboard and Ski Team and competed at Nationals in Sun Valley, Idaho. She went on to earn her J.D. in San Diego and is admitted to the California State Bar.
Andrea has been with her family’s law firm, Yanny & Smith, since 2006, starting as a legal assistant while in school and growing into her role as an attorney. She works alongside Senior Partner Joseph Yanny on a wide range of matters including civil litigation, family law, and criminal defense.
Notable cases in which Andrea participated in every aspect include the lengthy Lisa Marie Presley custody trial, where she assisted Senior Counsel in representing the prevailing party and restoring custody.
Andrea also worked on the now-famous RICO trial US v. Mongols Nation MC, a three-month trial in Judge David Carter’s courtroom in the Central District Court of California. At the heart of this case was the constitutional question of whether a collective membership mark could be confiscated without violating First Amendment Rights.
Andrea practices out of Brentwood and Century City.
Andrea is a wife and mother. Outside of work, she loves being with her family, going to sporting events, staying active, traveling, and snowboarding when she can.
